Strickler Earns $10K and Driver of the Week Honors; Larson, Zeigler, and Heimbach Get Honorable Mention

Kyle Strickler won the $10K Renegades of Dirt show at County Line Raceway on March 22nd

Kyle Strickler earned TDN Driver of the Week honors when he crossed under the checkers at County Line Raceway on Saturday night to win the Renegades of Dirt sanctioned “North Carolina Modified Nationals”. The $10,000 winner’s check bolstered what has already been a great season for the
Mooresville, NC native which was, to the best of my knowledge, his 3rd victory of the season. Other wins on the season for Strickler included $1,000 feats at East Bay Raceway Park and Volusia Speedway Park.

Kyle Larson:
The 21 year old sensation has proven that he can drive anything. After mastering almost every type of open-wheel dirt car, Larson made the move to asphalt last season. Kyle Larson receives an honorable mention for achieving his 1st career Nascar Nationwide Series win a career-best runner up finish in today’s Nascar Sprint Cup Series race at Auto Club Speedway in his home state of California. **Note: The lack of dirt automatically disqualified Larson from receiving top honors.

Mason Zeigler:
The up and coming star in the late model ranks outran Mid-Atlantic veteran Jason Covert during Saturday night’s feature at the famed Hagerstown Speedway (a.k.a. the Dirt Capitol of the World). It
was Zeigler’s first career win at the speedway.

Blane Heimbach:
Heimbach etched his name in stone last season when he garnered his 1st career track championship at the Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, PA. Although Blane has a history of struggling in recent years when he leaves his home track, he was able to capture the $4,000 lid-lifter at Selinsgrove Speedway for
his first career win at the track.
