2019 Pennsylvania Super Late Model Power Rankings

2019 rankings

Hey there race fans, it’s Tuesday, yes Tuesday, and I’m here with the update. I know I said it’d be Monday this week, but I gotta be honest with you, I totally forgot about it yesterday. I was on my way to work today and thought to myself “Dammit, I forgot”. I don’t have any better excuse. I apologize.

That said, let’s talk about this week. Weather didn’t have any effect on the weekend’s racing action. Eevrybody who had a races scheduled this weekend got it in. There wasn;t a ton of points scored among our top ten, though. a lot of them either raced somewhere else, had an off weekend, or took the weekend off. That seems to happen in the last quarter of the season every year.

Most of the shows were regular shows on the five point scale, but the shows at Selinsgove and Hidden Valley were specials, so they were on the seven point scale. Usual suspects Bedford, Port Royal, and Eriez had the weekend off. Dog Hollow closed for the season, so they won’t be scoring any more points this year. I certainly hope The Pooch can find it’s way again in 2020.

Let’s go ahead and get to those rankings…

1. Dylan Yoder (3) 81 points. Dylan ran third at Selinsgrove.

2. Jeff Rine (3), 72 points.

3. Max Blair (10), 70 points.

4. Jared Miley (6), 69 points.

5. Jason Covert (2), 63 points.

6. Rick Eckert (5), 58 points.

7. Mason Ziegler (3), 55 points.

8. Michael Lake (6), 49 points.

8. Andy Haus (2), 49 points.

10. Coleby Frye (3), 47 points. Coleby won at Selinsgrove.

And that’s our top ten for this week.

This coming holiday weekend sees quite a bit of special late model shows in the region. Most notably, the World of Outlaws Late Model Series is at Sharon Friday and Saturday and the Lucas Oil Dirt Late Model Series is at Portsmouth Saturday and Tyler County Sunday. those are the biggest shows to be seen this weekend, although none of the above will score for this poll because Sharon and Portsmouth are in Ohio and Tyler County is in West Virginia.

Specials that will score this week are highlighted by a ULMS weekend swing, seeing shows at Bedford Friday, Port Royal Saturday, and Selinsgrove Sunday.

It’s a great weekend to be a dirt late model fan in Pennsylvania.

But as I always mention on holiday weekends, please use your head if you’re drinking. It’s not worth driving if you’re feeling tipsy. You can’t afford a DWI, and you don’t want the guilt if you end up causing a major wreck.

I’m gonna post this Tuesday next weekend, because let’s be serious here, youre not going to want to read this while you’re at a BBQ on Monday.

Have a happy Labor Day.
