2021 Pennsylvania Super Late Model Power Rankings

Hey there race fans, it’s Monday and that means it’s time for me to update these here rankings.

This week  (obviously) saw the most points scored in one week for far this season, due in large part to the Firecracker 100 at Lernerville speedway. This has happened every year since I expanded these rankings to every super late model race in the state. it is two eight point shows and a thirty point show.  Most years, it is the single highest scoring weekend of the year, however, this year sees an even higher scoring weekend  with the Rumble by the River weekend at Port Royal August 26-28.

Many of the other tracks in the state  took the weekend off, as they do pretty much every year on Firecracker weekend, however, there were a few other traces run this weekend. Most notably, a Renegades of Dirt sanctioned race at the Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex. As always, though, results from the Knob are sketchy at best, so only the top two are scored currently, once full results are available, these rankings will be updated.

There was also a special at Selinsgrove, as all super late model races there are specials this year since they don’t run supers weekly anymore. Both the Knob race and Selinsgrove were seven point shows.

There were also weekly shows at Hidden Valley, Hummingbird and Eriez.

All that said, here’s this week’s top ten.

1. Chris Madden (2), 76. Chris finished second Thursday and Saturday at Lernerville.

2. Brandon Overton (2), 74 points. Brandon won Friday and Saturday at Lernerville.

2. Brandon Sheppard (1), 74 points. Brandon won Thursday and ran fifth both Friday and Saturday at Lernerville.

4. Rick Eckert(1), 49 points.

5. Max Blair (2), 47 points.

6.  Jared Miley (5), 43 points.

7. Jeff Rine (3), 38 points.

8. Dylan Yoder, 37 points. Dylan ran third at Selinsgrove.

9. Michael Norris (3) 36 points. Michael was second at Lernerville Friday.

10. Dennis Erb Jr., 32 points. Dennis was fourth Friday and third Saturday at Lernerville.

And that’s the top ten for this week. Check back next Monday to see the updated rankings after this coming weekend’s action!
